Mandurah Trip
Today, my parents and I took the train down to Mandurah. When we got there, we caught a free bus to the Mandurah foreshore; what a beautiful place. The weather was a bit overcast at the time but eventually it got better.
We had fish and chips at Cicerello's, then sat on the grass for a little while; and had Simmo's ice-cream.
But then we went to the bus stop that we got off from, and waited for about 20 minutes. No bus came. Then I looked to the left and saw the bus; it had gone a different way and wasn't stopping where we were! So we walked to the place where the busses were actually stopping. Waited another 20 minutes, and another bus came. By the time the bus came there was a long queue of people, and these buses were the original CAT buses, so they were really tiny! The bus filled up before we could get on it; so we had to wait ANOTHER 20 minutes. Finally, two more tiny buses came along and picked up everyone who was waiting.
We had a nice time in Mandurah, and we got text messages from our friends Sonia Mansour and John Meadley saying that they wished they were there too. But the incident with the buses did put a bit of a dampener on the day - I mean, we were waiting for literally an hour. This is on a Tuesday - I hate to think what it's like on the weekend.
Pictures to come soon. I think we only took 3 photos anyway.
